Computers will connect directly to the brain. It will make us much smarter, much faster at sharing information, and much faster at taking in what other people know. We need to understand what that looks like now, and build software that prepares the world for it.

Linked minds make a hivemind, and we’re building it now, in software. It has two layers: a shared intelligence layer, where people and AI work out what’s true together, and a shared empathy layer, where people understand where each other is coming from.
